Fascism expanding in America

Administration's policies making Americans less safe at home and abroad

Trump's fascism and the continuation of American empire is expanding both here and abroad, and it's making the world worse for everyone. Last week, several protesters were found guilty of providing material support for terrorists in Texas because the government claimed they were members of antifa, however antifa simply means antifascist.

This is a huge problem because this means basically anyone could be accused of being a member of antifa for participating in any groups that oppose the government in any form or fashion. It also makes those who care about the safety of others a target because many people organize safety groups that help gather and distribute medical supplies as well as inform people about their rights. And they perform these duties because it's the state causing harm, attacking protesters, and escalating the situation.

This ruling is just another step in trying to crush any kind of dissent and will likely be used in future decisions. At the same time, they are allowing right wing groups to assault people and spew all kinds of racist rhetoric. Last week, the CEO of Turning Point USA visited Arkansas and made an announcement with Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders. There were protesters at the event and a protester was assaulted by a TPUSA supporter and a small scuffle broke out. Instead of apprehending the perpetrators from TPUSA, the police let them go and arrested some of the protesters instead. This was caught on video, yet they are telling people not to believe what they saw, but to instead believe that these protesters were the aggressors and in the wrong.

At the same time Americans rights are under attack, our government is breaking international law and basically saying they can do whatever they want. We illegally kidnapped the president of Venezuela because we said he and his government were involved in the drug trade. Then we, along with Israel, attack Iran for no sane reason other than they want sovereignty. We also increased our sanctions on Cuba, and basically cut off any supplies they were getting, which is causing mass starvation and many other problems. And as of March 16th, the whole country is suffering from a blackout since they have not been able to obtain any supplies and have used up what they had. The United States, with these actions, is stating that they can do whatever they wish to any country unwilling to comply with our wishes and become servants of empire. Venezuela, Iran, and Cuba posed no threat to the United States, yet we committed these atrocities anyway.

These actions domestically and internationally have made American citizens less safe in the world and cemented America's reputation as the world's biggest bully. For all the talk of Rule of Law from this administration, we see nothing but lawlessness and corruption.
